Are you aware that the EU published sanctions against Guatemala under Council Decision (CFSP) 2024/254 accompanied by Council Regulation 287/2024 which describe the sanctions the EU installed against Guatemala. These sanctions consist of "restrictions on admission" and "freezing of funds and economic resources". Since there has no names been published yet, SanctIO determined the risk regarding Guatemala to be low, which will be raised to medium as soon as names are added by the EU.

Today, the EU published the 12th package of sanctions in relation to the invasion of Russia in the Ukraine. The following regulations have been amended:
Sanctions for EU importers of iron and steel products (yes, this includes even importing ordinary screws or washers);

You will have to make sure that you have the right entries based on the publications in the official journal or make sure your data provider does this for you. The EU has a disclaimer in place on her consolidated list, stating:

Do you know that on 13 November 2023 the EU published an update to the North Korean sanctions (in relation to Council Decision (CFSP) 2016/849 of 27 May 2016 and Council Regulation (EU) No 1509/2017 of 30 August 2017), which is based on UNSCR 1718 (2023) which was published by the UN on 29 June 2023! When you use sanctions lists for screening purposes, we advise you to not only incorporate the "Consolidated EU sanctions list", but make sure to also incorporate the UN Consolidated list, or, ask your data provider whether they deliver both and use both. That way you are up-to-date.
